Young Researchers Award Contest
The Young Researcher Award recognizes the exceptional work of emerging scholars in sport science. Eligible candidates include those who have completed their PhD within the last three years or those in their final year of undergraduate study, under 35 years of age. The competition requires the submission and presentation (oral or poster) of a research abstract at the International Congress of Applied Sports Sciences. The prize for the winner will be announced shortly!
Evaluation Criteria
The submitted abstracts will be assessed based on the following criteria:
Originality: The work must be unpublished and not accepted for publication at the time of submission.
Relevance: The research should have clear applications in sports or exercise science, focusing on impacts on performance, health, or well-being.
Presentation Quality: The presentation (oral or poster) should be visually appealing, well-organized, and use high-quality visuals.
Scientific Terminology: Accurate use of field-specific language is essential.
Background and Relevance: A clear description of the study’s context and its importance in the field.
Innovation: The research must present novel approaches or findings.
Methodology and Data Integrity: Sound research methods and reliable data are expected.
Conclusion: The work should have a concise, logical conclusion.
Research Impact: The study should have a substantial impact on the field, or demonstrate potential for high future impact (e.g., by introducing new methods that could lead to further discoveries).
Award Selection
The Award Selection Committee will consist of three members from the Scientific Committee and two from the Organizing Committee.
